Welcome to the JCCT website!
We are the only Japanese Christian church in Tucson, Arizona. We are a Protestant church belonging to the OMS Holiness Church of North America. Our church began in March, 1995 with five Japanese women meeting to study the Bible. Our first worship service was in December, 1996. From March, 1997 to October, 2015 we held Sunday worship services at the Pima County Medical Society building. In October, 2015, our worship service location moved to Koch Chapel at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, near the University of Arizona. In March, 2020 we suspended services because of the pandemic, and beginning again in August, 2021 we have been holding worship services (in Japanese only) in person at a member's home and via Zoom. Beginning July 30th, we are holding Sunday worship service (in Japanese) at Tucson True Light Church. We have been blessed with three pastors over the years, but are currently without a pastor. In addition to worship service, we have a weekly prayer meeting and Bible study, all in Japanese and online.
